In preparation for the start of the school year at JumpRope, we’ve been working hard at developing our training and professional development offerings. One of our projects has been an online teacher training course, and we’re excited to introduce it to our users for this coming school year.
Throughout the history of JumpRope, we’ve offered our training and professional development modules both in-person and remotely. While we continue to offer both of those options, the self-paced nature and open accessibility of the online course will add valuable flexibility to our suite of trainings.
The course is a standalone, introductory teacher training on the basics of JumpRope but also a valuable resource for school administration, staff, and seasoned JumpRope users. It is designed to be taken in full at a self-paced one-and-a-half to two hours, and teachers can complete the course at a time that works best for them. Since the course is online, teachers can also re-access it and its contents anytime; we don’t limit the amount of times a teacher can work through or simply review information in the lessons.
With plans to expand online course options in the future, this course focuses solely on JumpRope’s District Edition users (if you have a “Plan (beta)” tab in your Teacher Dashboard). We hope that you find the online course beneficial to your plans as the school year ramps up and throughout the fall.
